Ep030: Why women still need male mentors
Wednesday May 29, 2019
Wednesday May 29, 2019
A recent Lean In report cited that as a result of the #MeToo movement, the number of men who were uncomfortable participating in a common work activities with a woman, such as mentoring, working alone, or socializing together was on the increase.
Unfortunately male mentorship is still needed, for women to get ahead in the leadership space and in this week's podcast I explain why it's not enough for men to say they don't harass women, they have to proactively advocate in the workplace.

Ep028: Changing focus doesn’t mean you’ve failed
Monday May 13, 2019
Monday May 13, 2019
Taking some time on my vacation to reflect, refocus and regroup. With the understanding that I'm always a work in progress and realigning yours goals doesn't mean that you've failed - it means that you've been smart enough to acknowledge what's not working and take action to ensure you achieve your goals.
My time of reflection enabled me to decide who I want to work with - women like me!
- Women who are ambitious and focused on working hard to succeed
- Women who want their voices to be heard so that they can rightfully get ahead
- Women who know they have huge potential but need a helping hand to guide them
- Women who know they’re worth a lot more but need a plan to deliver
- Women who might have made a misstep in life but knows that doesn’t define who they are
- Women who want to excel at their career goals and are driven to get there
- Women who want to confidently command top dollar and earn their worth
If any of that sounds like you, let’s talk.
There’s still time to join me for the May’s collective of the Confidently Negotiate and Get Paid Your Worth in 8 weeks program.

Ep026: How to be in control of your financial wellness.
Wednesday Apr 24, 2019
Wednesday Apr 24, 2019
In my book This Woman Can – I tackle a number of questions that women often need answers to, on subjects they sometimes don’t want to discuss. But the most thorniest subjects are often money related, all of which play a huge part in our financial wellbeing – a state which we’re often aware of not having but not always how to improve. If I’m honest I underestimated the influence of financial wellbeing and the level of focus we need to apply, but it makes sense when you really look at its impact.
My discussion with T’mira Looby of the Directorate of Gender Affairs in Antigua, looks at the work the Directorate are doing to highlight this field and how finances can actually be utilized as form of abuse within a relationship, plus practical tips we can all use to ensure we have control of our financial wellness.

Ep025: Renatha Exeter - Suck it up and recognize you've earned it:
Thursday Apr 18, 2019
Thursday Apr 18, 2019
The reason I love hosting this show is because of the fabulous, pioneering women I have the pleasure of interviewing and my guest Renatha Exeter is the embodiment of the maxim “Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail” (Charles Kettering, American Inventor). She is the youngest and first female CEO of The Guyana Oil Company Limited; and her atypical ascension to this leadership strata is marked by personal sacrifice to ensure strong academic preparation; constant activation of her faith and resultant favour; and the unyielding support of her family circle.
Renatha, for the past 15 years, has curated and shared a wealth and depth of expertise in the areas of business management, corporate and direct sales, marketing, and mass multi media platforming and positioning. Something tells me that she still has more achievements to be had.

Thursday Apr 11, 2019
- Do you know what your "personal values" are?
- Do you know how your values can impact your success, your job satisfaction, your relationships?
- Do you know that if you were ever unhappy with your career/relationship it was probably due to your values?
- One of the keys to having a great life, is knowing what your values are and whether they are in-line with: the type of work you do; the place you work at; and the people you work with.
If your personal values are out of sync with your future vision, then you could end up hating your job, unhappy relationships and not being as successful as you want.

Ep022: How fear of an awkward conversation is losing you money.
Thursday Mar 28, 2019
Thursday Mar 28, 2019
I see more and more that there is a reticence for women to ask for what we deserve, the reluctance to ask for what we’re worth based on our skills and experience, to charge for services when we’ve delivered the goods. There's a level of discomfort we experience when we should be asking for our worth but this is because we’re not taught how to negotiate. we’re not taught how to ask for more, we’re told to be “good girls” and “play nice”, don't ruffle feathers by asking more.
Heck, we often don’t even realize when the opportunities to ask for more arise…. All this translates into we should accept what we are given!
Listen as I discuss;
- How the fear of having one conversation is resulting in women leaving money on the table.
- Why women have to speak up if they're earn what they deserve.
- How you can arm yourself with the confidence and courage to negotiate your worth.
- The launch of a unique program - Confidently negotiate and get paid your worth in 8 weeks
If any of the points raised this week, resonate with you then you'll love my new online coaching program - Confidently negotiate and get paid your worth in 8 weeks.
